Administrative History	An ancient parish church, originally serving the townships of Burtonwood, Poulton with Fearnhead, Rixton with Glazebrook, Warrington and Woolston with Martinscroft. Transferred from Lancashire to Cheshire in 1974. For later records, see also the parishes of Burtonwood, Latchford St. James, Orford, Padgate, Warrington Holy Trinity, Warrington St. Paul, Warrington St. Peter and Woolston.
